This is a great opportunity to develop a range of knowledge and skills in the area of SEND Co-ordination within a Further Education setting.

​

The successful post holder will be responsible for ensuring that Special Educational Needs & Disabilities provision is efficient and effective and that specified legal and statutory requirements for SEND students are met. Supporting the implementation of the SEND Code of Practice they will be fully involved in organising and chairing College EHCP annual reviews.  In addition working with feeder schools to ensure smooth transition for students with more complex Special Educational Needs. Assisting EHCP Coordinator/Team Leader(s) where required with EHCP requests and consultation with potential students is a requirement.

The post holder will need to be able to work on their own initiative, be highly organised and be able to participate in and develop good working practices for the implementation of the SEND Code of Practice.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role as the post holder will be representing a well established College at external and internal meetings with a variety of partners including external agencies, schools, parents, carers and Local Authority colleagues.T

Salary £21,138 pa

​

37 hrs per week
